Course Overview
The General Update course is a mandatory North Carolina Continuing Education course required annually for Provisional Brokers and Non-Provisional Brokers who are not Brokers-in-Charge (BICs).
This course provides timely updates on legislative changes, Commission rule updates, and emerging legal and practice issues affecting real estate brokerage in North Carolina. Content is based on topics identified by the North Carolina Real Estate Commission and emphasizes the practical application of license law, agency obligations, ethics, and consumer protection.
The General Update is designed to reinforce compliance, professionalism, and risk management for brokers engaged in day-to-day real estate practice.
Important: This course does not satisfy the BIC Update requirement.
